Notes: Weekends and Holidays are counted. The maximum overdue fine for regular materials is $5.00 per item; for reserve materials, $10.00 per item.; for the eReader, $35.00.
Students will receive notice through e-mail and/or mail as a courtesy reminder for overdue material. After 30 days of the original due date, the overdue material will be invoiced for replacement, including a $10.00 processing fine and overdue fees. The overdue notice is shown below. All material must be returned by the due date or Reading Day, whichever comes first. Books that are not returned will be automatically invoiced for the replacement of the book, including a $10.00 processing fine and overdue fees, on the last day of the semester.
Fines
Fines are to be paid when the overdue material is turned in. In the event that the fines are not paid when the material is returned, students will be sent reminders to pay their fines; a copy has been provided below. All fines much be paid by Reading Day to avoid a hold being placed on your account.
Losses
Replacement cost + $10.00 processing fee for lost in-print materials. All materials overdue for 30 days or not turned in by Reading Day will be considered lost and the patron will be invoiced for a replacement. Project Theses and out-of-print books have special fees. For the eReader, the replacement cost includes a new eReader and its charger. Consult with library staff if you have any questions. An example of the invoice has been supplied.
Damages
Assessed charges for damages are based on the extent of damage or repairs necessary.
