Scope

Only patrons 18 and over are allowed in the Library unless you have an Adult chaperone.
Upon application and approval, adults (18 and over) may be issued a Local Patron Borrower’s card valid for 1 year for a $5.00 charge.
Alumni renewal fee is waived. Borrowing privileges are not transferable.
General Public may have no more than two books charged out at any time, unless approved for academic purposes, and are responsible for timely return of all materials.
- Moye Library reserves the right to approve or deny more than two books checked out for academic purposes.
Materials lost or damaged must be paid for according to replacement cost or damages assessed.
Renewals may be requested via telephone – (919) 658-7869 – unless material is overdue or requested by another user.
- The General Public can renew materials up to one time unless further renewals are approved by library personnel.
Materials are loaned for approximately one month. Fines are 5 cents per item per day to a maximum of $5.00 per item.
Borrowing privileges are revoked if a patron has overdue books or unpaid fines.
Any materials not returned or replaced through fines (replacement and processing fee) will result in borrowing privileges being revoked.
Losses:
- Charges for lost/unreturned books is the replacement cost + $10.00 processing fee.
Damages:
- Assessed charges for damages are based on extent of damage or repair necessary.
