While Moye Library uses WorldCat Discovery as its catalog, WorldCat Discovery can also be used as a Discovery Tool for articles. WorldCat Discovery determines the article's availability based on whether Moye Library has full-text access to the Journal regardless of the article's date. This means that an article with the date of 2022 from a Journal with a full-text access range of 1999-2021 may show up as available in WorldCat Discovery. If you are having problems accessing an article, please follow the instructions below to determine whether we have access to the article.
- You will find that the journal titles is Women and Language and the issue date is Fall 1998
- Go to Journal Finder.
- Search for "Women and Language."
- The results show you the databases in which the journal is held, and it gives the dates that the full-text access begins and ends.
- Judging by the date ranges given by Journal Finder, Moye Library has access to all the articles in the Fall 1998 edition of Women and Language.
- If it turns out that Moye Library doesn't have access to the article, you can request it through Interlibrary Loan (more information) if you still would like to gain access to that article. Since WorldCat Discovery shows that Moye Library has access, even though the library doesn't, the Interlibrary Loan button will not appear. You will need to contact Reference & Instruction Librarian Wes Warren, jwarren@umo.edu about accessing the article through Interlibrary Loan.
